THE HARPS GAA: U8s: Well done and a big thank you to all the boys who attended the St Kieran’s College Faith Fest Under 8 Hurling blitz held on Saturday 11th May in the College grounds. A squad of 24 took part with some great encounters with opposition from Camross, Erin’s Own, and Rathdowney/Errill. Those who took part were; Liam Ryan, Rory Walsh, Liam Kirby, Martin Drennan, Darragh Townsend, John Paul Murphy, Bobby Murphy, Donal Deegan, Ross Deegan, Loughlin Curran, Simon Comerford, Jack Dunphy, Will Duggan, Jimmy White, Jamie Dooley, Eoin Murphy, Tom Kennedy, Jack Kennedy, Cormac Dunne, Niell Stanley, Ethan Lafferty, Cole Brennan and Shane Shortall. After the blitz all players were presented with medals by Kilkenny star Ritchie Hogan. Training for the group continues every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
ADULT FOOTBALL: Our Junior B Footballers took on The Rock in the second round of the league recently at our club grounds, coming out comprehensive winners on a score line of 3-07 to 0-09. This was a strong performance given the fact the team were missing five players due to injury and players sitting exams at the moment. Well done lads!
MINOR HURLERS: Well done to our Minor Hurlers on defeating Johnstown in the Kilkenny league on Tuesday week last on a score line of 2-11 to 2-09. On Monday of this week they took on Rathdowney/Errill only to be beaten by two points in the finish.

SENIOR HURLERS: Training is in full swing at the moment (twice a week and a practice match at weekend). The management urge all players to get involved and give full commitment. The team take on Ballinakill in Durrow on Wednesday Evening, 22nd May at 7.45pm. This is an important match for the lads so please come along and show your support. Thank You!
INTERMEDIATES: Well done to our Intermediates who defeated Camross on Thursday evening. The score was 0-11 to 0-09.
U16 FOOTBALL: This team have qualified for the Football League B Final, which takes place on Sunday of this weekend in Stradbally at 5pm. Best of Luck to all involved and please come along and support the boys.
U16 HURLERS: The hurlers beat Na Fianna in the last round of the league by two points last week with this being their last match of the group. They have won three and lost two matches in the group stages. They might be in with a chance of progressing – depending on this weekend results in the other last round games.

ILLEGAL DUMPING: It has been to our attention again that illegal dumping is taken place on the grounds, but this time the culprits have been seen and the Gardai will be dealing with this matter. We urge every body to pay special attention to a red van if seen around the club grounds.

JACKS GOLF SOCIETY: Jacks Golf Society played their first outing of the year in Thurles Golf Club with fine weather and good golf it made for a good outing. The winner as Jimmy Joyce; second was Leo Dunne and third was Tommy Lalor. The front 9 was Kieran McEvoy and the back 9 was Oisin Dunne. The middle 6 was John Phelan with some great scores. We would like to our new members well in the forthcoming year and remind those interested in joining our next outing is to Castlecomer on Saturday June 1st.
DURROW LIONS AFC: The Lions Summer Astro League will begin in June if we have enough interest. So if you wish to enter you need a panel of nine where only three registered players can play. It is €400 per team and you will be guaranteed at least 10 games.
